Happy Valentines Day!

For our 9th Valentines together Michael and I celebrated in a unconventional way.
We spent the morning at a Mary Kay event. It was the first ever Satellite Education Event at the movies, broadcast live from Dallas. We had to be at the Mira Mesa Edwards Theater at 8am! MJ is such a trooper to sacrifice not only his sleep but his Valentines Day in support of me and my business.

After the "movies" I surprised him with an incredible lunch at Chef Deborah Scott's C-Level at Harbor Island in San Diego. If you haven’t been there yet, go NOW!
Check out the menu on line: http://www.cohnrestaurants.com/restaurants/islandprime/

The view was spectacular, the service was amazing, the drinks were heavy handed and the food was too die for! It was a perfect day date with my love !

After our cruise of Point Loma, and our lunch at C-Level, we cruised up the coast to Yogi's.

Ew.
I do not recommend that place.

Let’s just say that it was much better years ago when MJ and I lived in Cardiff and would go there with the old Encinitas crew... but all these years later, and a new location didn’t do it justice. We had a quick beer and bailed. The service sucked, the place was a dump, and you have to valet. Actually the valet was the only nice employee we met there. Aside from the view, I think this place is better left for drunken college kids.

Eventually we ended up at home, where the girls surprised us with an afternoon of snackies. champagne and appetizers and GIFTS! They decorated and everything! All in all the day was perfect... couldn’t have been any better really. Until dinner time that is.

MJ and I wanted to have a family Valentines date with the girls so we stayed home and did “dinner and a movie”. We decorated the dinning room table with super cheesy decorations, and made them their favorite meal of Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Of course the tomato soup had a heart shaped piece of mozzarella floating in it, and the grilled cheese sammies were heart shaped as well. And although MJ and I love soup and sammies for dinner, we opted for steak with chive butter, roasted asparagus, and gratin potatoes with gruyere… so amazing.

We stuffed ourselves silly, then lounged in the living room and watched a true love story- The Corpse Bride!

It was a perfect day! I love my family!
