Movie Day with Beba!

The girls had a date with Beba this weekend… Movies and lunch. Beba brought little cute mementos- popcorn buckets full to the brim with popcorn and candy! The girls had a blast!

BFF Time!

Mary & Maddie came over on Friday...

It was a much needed hang session, refilling the BFF tank so to speak.

Maddie was perfectly adorable as usual. I just want to eat her up!

TGIF!!

Look at the adorable faces I have to leave behind every morning when I go to work…

This week has been harder than normal... both girls are sick, yet I have to leave them and head to work each day. Thank God for Shelly- if it wasn't for her I would be totally screwed. Thank God the girls can go to their "second home" and have the love of their Auntie, while I'm at work. She's the next best thing to Mom. And she's the only place I can take the kids that will put up with round the clock med's and nebulizer treatments.

And here's the kicker-you cant even tell they're sick in these pictures (taken this morning) because they're so cheerful and full of sunshine!! I have the raddest kids ever.

Ugh- this just kills me.

One day I'll be home. One day!

Cupcake Cuties!

The girls made cupcakes on Sunday... it was an all day ordeal... but so worth it for them!

They (and by they I mean Kenna) cleaned the kitchen afterward and everything!

Thank you to Sean & Chantalle O'Donnell for the wonderful Christmas gifts they gave the girls again this year! They always seem to get the girls exactly what they love!

Kenna B received an amazing jewelry making set that she is scared to share with Lani, as Lani will no doubt lose the majority of the jewels and beads.

Lani on the other hand shared her present with Kenna, no questions asked!

Mostly because she received this adorable cupcake making set, and she needed sissy to read the recipe and basically make the entire batch while she oversaw everything. And of course in Lani's world, that just means she ate frosting the entire time.

Guitar Hero Glory!

So it was a weekend full of our usual Saturday Shenanigans...

We ventured all the way up to Riverside County to check out Jared's new house... Congrats Jalexis!! Your house is amazing! I cant wait for you to host many many exciting parties. Here's a little hint: I love anything having to do with wine, karaoke, and good appetizers. So invite me over anytime- my schedule is wide open!

After our tour of S. Riverside County, we made our way back home for a mellow evening of good friends and food... And by that I mean- Guitar Hero!

I had never played it before, so I claim that as the reason my kids were better at it then me.

I guarantee you Lani and Josh can kick my butt. I swear something was wrong with my guitar!

Kenna rocks the house- but i think she should graduate to the real deal...

And how come MJ is playing his guitar like its a Ukulele?

We played so much we broke the Xbox.

Sangria for Dummies

So Murphy and I decided Sangria sounded like a good idea on Saturday.

I've officially dubbed Saturdays, "Sangria Saturday".

You too can enjoy Sangria Saturdays. Here's how...

CJ's White Sangria:

1 Regular sized bottle of White Wine. I used Pineapple wine that Murphy bought in Flagstaff (Thanks Murph!!)

2 Cups Peach Schnapps

2 Cups Apricot Brandy

2 Apples, any variety. I used one gala, one granny smith
1 White Peach

1 Nectarine

1 Fresh Pineapple, cut into chunks

Dumb all your booze in to a jug. Chop all your fruit and add to jug. Give a quick stir. Let sit over night. Good times.

Serve over ice... eat lots of fruit. Pace yourself. It'll sneak up on you I promise!

Sleepy Head

Apparently this is how exhausting Kindergarten is to Lani Girl…
We got home from Shelly’s last night a little later than normal so we did an easy dinner of Corn Dogs and Top Ramen (no not very healthy, but it’s sure as heck convenient and the girls love it!) After dinner Lani grabbed a blanket, walked over to the couch and crashed, in her school clothes and all… MJ and I were looking all over for her, because it was way too quiet in our house, and there we find her, curled in a ball, sleeping peacfully...

This is a crappy picture taken from my cell, but I had to post this because life is good when your 5 isn’t it?

The Grand Canyon

While in Arizona, we took a day trip to the Grand Canyon. It was the first time for all of us... we had never witnessed the majestic beauty before, and nothing could have prepared us for how absolutely incredible it was. We were only there for a few hours as it was so dang cold. But we will definitely go back again when we can spend more time taking it all in.

And yes- we signed our names on the rock like everyone else! We had to leave our mark!!

Welcome 2009!

As a Christmas present to the girls this year, Michael and I rented a cabin in Flagstaff, AZ and rang in the New Year with great family and friends. It was an exciting road trip, over 7 hours of driving one way. It was our first time traveling out of state as a family and it was mine and the girl's first experience with lots of fresh snow! We even encountered a bit of a snow storm on the drive home!

Thank to the Wilson-O's, The Sherman Fam, and Michelle Murphy for making our New Years trip such and awesome experience! All I have to say is: SKI HAUS!!!

A New Year, A New Blog

This year I chose a simpler resolution then in years past. Normally I resolve to loose weight, or get more sleep, maybe become more organized... ya' know- all of the things I never stick with longer than 2 weeks. But this year, in an effort to actually maintain my resolution for the entire 365 days of 2009, I chose to do something I actually like... BLOGGING!

Blogging in it of it self isn't my passion. Posting pictures of my wonderful family and talking about our many adventures is really where its at. So bookmark this page because I'm attempting to chronicle the life and times of Team Johnson!
